Bentuk nya: Let + us (let’s) + infinitive (Tanpa to)

* Let’s digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu keputusan yang diharapkan dapat diterima dan dapat pula menyatakan suatu saran.
Untuk menyatakan sering kali ditambahkan ‘Shall we’? Kalau saran itu disetujui, maka jawaban kita “yes”. let’s.

* Bentuk Request, yang sangat penting ialah “ Could you please”….

* Untuk menunjukan bahwa si pembicara menginginkan sesuatu yang lebih dapat digunakan kata possibly
- Could you possibly show me the way to the station?

* Couldn’t digunakan untuk untuk menyatakan harapan si pembicara untuk mendapatkan jawaban yang lebih menyenangkan dari pada jawaban yang baru saja di dengar.
- I can’t stay,……………. - couldn’t you stay a little longer?
- I can’t wait,……………. - couldn’t you wait five minutes?
- I ‘m hungry …………… - couldn’t you be patient?
c) Would you/ will you (please) – (polite request/command)

* If you Would ……………., merupakan bentuk request yang penting.
* Bentuk ini digunakan dalam percakapan sehari – hari yang berhubungan dengan request. Dengan menggunakan bentuk ini pembicara yakin bahwa permintaan nya selalu akan dipenuhi oleh orang yang di ajak bicara.
